MELTING HANDLE

　金属が熱で溶けたようなコンセプチュアルなドアハンドルです。 グリップは熱によって垂れ落ち、端にいくほどどろりと丸くなっていく。 手で触れる製品において、金属が熱で溶けるという、「想像できるけれど在り得ないこと」＝「非現実」を表現しています。 直喩的なコンセプトを持つこの製品を支えるのは、日本が世界に誇る高い技術力です。 プロダクトデザインの分野において、日本は世界に発信できるメリットが多くあり、それを物語るプロダクトだと自負しています。

The pull handle has the design expressing the melting metal with heat. The grip falls in drops by heat, the edge become circular in shape as the edge approaches a door. This handle express “imaginable, but impossible” = “unreality” which means metal is melted with heat in the products touched with the hands, High technology is the strength that Japan can boast to the world and it is the key to this product’s concept. In the product design, there are a lot of advantages that japan can transmit to the world. We think this product shows that.
